Cover Art Problem
« on: January 03, 2005, 12:18:08 am »

I have a mix of APE, APL, MP3, and MPC files.
I have cover art for every album.
I store the cover art as folder.jpg in each album's subdirectory.

Recently, MC 11 decided that 16 albums would have no art. I do the Image->Add from file thing and all is fine. Until I close MC and start it again. Then the same files will have the MC icon as cover art again.

Just now I see that no file has cover art. Using either the Cover Art or Track Info:DJ display in playing now shows the MC icon for every selection.
The 'tooltip' in the library shows no image for any selection.

No, it's not a 3rd party issue. I use those before I import into MC. I have not imported anything for quite sometime and certainly not within the last 2 weeks.

Nothing has been installed/removed/changed on my system recently.

I'm puzzled.

On looking a bit further, this is only on selections that have been rated. No matter the rating, if a selection has a rating the cover art is missing.

So, easier than I thought to recover from, but still puzzling as to why.

That's a bug in the recent few Alphas.

More oddness.

The canned smartlist "No Images" does not list any of the files that are missing cover art. When I look at 'File Type info", there is nothing listed there.

So, no art, but no way to see which are missing the art without looking at the tooltip for each selection.
