Media Center/ Quicktime conflict
« on: June 04, 2005, 05:57:54 pm »

It seems that ever since I installed Media Center 11, any media site that uses the Quicktime player to deliver its content has corrupted sound. For example, If I go to the official Star Wars site and launch their video trailer that uses Quick time, the sound is all corrupted. Any one else experience this?

Extremely unlikely.  MC doesn't install any Quicktime components.

Try re-installing QT.

Hi Jim.
I did uninstall then reinstalled quicktime and still get corrupted sound from quicktime. I would like to uninstall MC and then see if quicktime works. Would I lose any of my MC entries upon reinstalling MC?

Just uninstall MC if you need to.
