I've recently found that the radio streaming in my MC 11 (system info below) doesn't work.  Other audio files play fine but not radio.  I've tried stations from the inbuilt Web Media database, and also from my radio playlist, all of which previously worked.

I've completely uninstalled MC, then re-installed it but with the same results.  All radio stations work OK in Winamp (the same stations as in my MC playlist) so it's nothing to do with my net connection.  Winamp was installed after MC11 stopped streaming.  Since I listen to radio probably more than locally stored music this is important to me.

Any suggestions as to what else I can try?

Thanks for getting back so quickly.  After further investigation it appears that Windows Media streams (or whatever) will play, whilst MP3 streams do not.

I agree.  They work in 10 but not in 11.

FWIW, I'm listening to smoothjazz.com right now, MC 11.0.314

This issue seems to be an 11.1 issue and not an 11.0 issue.  I'm currently using 11.0.314 and do not have the issue being described here.  Both the sites listed above as not playing in MC11 play fine on my system using 11.0.314.  alanl said he's using 11.1.65, but dtblair did not list the version he's using.

dtblair -- could you list which version of MC you're using.  If it's 11.1.x, it's a good bet that the issue is not a 10 vs 11 issue, but rather just an 11.1 issue.

Are there any further updates to this that I'm perhaps not aware of?

You may be right.  I seem to remember that the mp3 streams worked OK when I was using 11.0.316.  Perhaps this has only begun to happen since using the 11.1 versions, however I can't be absolutely sure of this as I've had to re-install MC on another machine after No. 1 PC crashed.

Something else I've noticed when playing the WMV streams is that the streams halt occasionally (but not the mp3 streams on Winamp), and that there is no option to show vizualisations when playing WMV streams. Or am I missing something?

All I can say for sure is that with 11.0.314, the "problem" links you posted above play fine for me.

Have you tried the latest version of 11.1?  You said you were using 11.1.065, but they're up to 11.1.71 now.

11.1 is pretty stable now.  It also has podcasting and much better support for iPods.  I don't think there are any showstoppers in it now.

Since upgrading to 11.1 (from early alpha builds up to the latest .71) shoutcast streaming has been broke for me too *sniff*
