Is an Atom N330 good enough for JRiver?

For use in DLNA Server mode only, just sitting there serving files basically, maybe some transcoding, and CD-ripping.  Will a nettop-type ION Atom N330 1.6GHz machine perform admirably?

Yes, unless your DLNA server is also converting video.  Otherwise fine.

You won't have any problems with an Atom 330. I am using an Asus AT5IONT-I which uses the slightly more powerful Atom D525 and it will play 1080p video no problem.

My previous build used a Via Epia 500MHz board and that ran J River Media Centre v14 fine. Well I say fine, it played music well enough, but any library organising was rather slow...

But the 330 or D525 are great. Powerful enough and power efficient., although I did have to fit a fan to the Asus board as it was running too hot without.
