De-synchronization of Linked zone
« on: April 12, 2012, 08:51:25 am »

Since I'm on windows 7, I'm using a lot the link zone to play both thru Optical output and Analog output, both are connected to  amplifiers in 2 different rooms. I find it impossible to synchronize the output, It almost ok at the beginning, but there is a greater and greater delay as times goes (over a second after 1 or 2 hour)

Regards

If you pause and unpause, does the sync return?

If zones drift more than 200ms apart, the zones should pause at the end of the track and restart in sync on the next track.

I will check.
However as I used linked zone to listen to web radios, I can tell you that after certain time I get far more than 200ms of desync

Linked zones may not work nicely with live streams, because they're not seekable with the high precision necessary for linking to work.

You will have better luck with local files.
