A few days ago got a problem - scheduled crash when playing the song and when doing try to add the cover from the file downloaded album. I did upgrade the media center a few times but it is not cleared up the problem. I also saved logs but what to do with them, I do not know.
I also have a problem is that not all the albums are displayed covers.
Help me please!

What type of files are you adding cover art to? We have had another report of a crash adding internal artwork to FLAC files, but have been unable to reproduce it.

You could use Help > Logging, and send the problem report to logs at jriver dot com.

Hi! Thanks! Type of files is jpg.
How can I send a report?
This problem appeared a few days ago, had not previously had this and I could to add the cover from the file without any crash.
Why does not always cover are displayed by automatically and what should I do to correct

Matt meant what type of music file, flac for instance.

Matt gave you the email address to send the report to. Replace at with @ and dot with . and no spaces.

If it is the same issue as I have (crash when pasting cover art to flac files), you could try installing build .173 or earlier because that build works for me. You can find builds to download in the forum announcement posts. Just install build .173 over your current installation.

I just had this issue too, I converted the flac to wave and back. Then it would add.

If I had read this earlier I woudn't have removed the file, sorry.

Thanks a lot! Yes, it is flac files. I don`t understand that happend news within last 4 days? Before was everything ok!
And this problem not for everything music files,But I do not see any difference between the files that generate the issue and file with that ok.

The developers cannot reproduce the issue and therefore also do not know what happened. The more users reporting the same issue with all details (see the thread referenced above, where I tried to give all info possible), the greater the chance is that the developers can reproduce and fix. I am sure issues that make the program crash has the highest priority.

Thanks! I read now. I have flac files only and try add cover from inside flac: >cover arts > add from file >.......way......> double clic..... and buumm! crash!

Sometimes the same problem when I add cover from internet > cover art > get from internet> choice cover > save cover art and buummm! crash!

We spent time trying to reproduce the crash on another machine and still haven't been able to.

If anyone can figure out any extra clues, it would be appreciated.

If I recall, the problem is with FLAC files. If so, how were they encoded?

For me, the issue occurs with flac files ripped with dBpoweramp with the default encoding setting in that program. I do not use MC for ripping. Matt got a sample file.

I got a message from the developers regarding a new test build with more logging to track this issue doŵn that I will try tomorrow morning (it is 2 am in my time zone and time to get some sleep first). The developers are working on this issue as best as they can.

I do not know what these files are coded. Where I can find out? I also noticed that the crash occurs some time after the start of the auto-import of library.

Hi,
I have recently purchased MC17. However when playing music using playlist 100 MC17 sometimes freezes. When I press play I get BSOD and my Dell xps17 dump crashes. The last time it did this was this evening when it froze and crashed after 20 songs of the 100 playist. Any help or advice would be welcomed.

That's a driver problem. Try updating the driver for your audio device, possibly your video device.

What is your audio playback device?
