Hi.
I'm sorry about signalling this problem in 2 posts, but a solution to this probably solves the glitch problem I put in another post...
I've configured 2xdsd output, crossfade aggressive 4s: during the playback of a playlist with intermixed different file types (flac,mp3,dsd), changing homogeneous type tracks risults in a correct cross fade; but on different types, there is a fade on the "exiting" track, not at the beginning of the new one.

There won't be a fade if the sample rate changes.  You can either live with that, or set all the sample rates to the same in DSP Studio > Output Format.

I have output encoding 2xdsd, isn't it a way to unify sample rates?
btw I was trying with crossfade to avoid a disconnection, that the dac notices every time there is a format change (even with 2xdsd output encoding, "input usb = no signal"). During this disconnection/unnecessary mode change I have a glitch. To be clear, during the playing of every format, using 2xdsd output, the dac correctly display "input usb = dsd".

Addendum... I've seen this old release notes:

Sorry if i couldn't understand well, but I see a possible reset on my dac, in this situation, with mc20...

Try gapless playback or a gap smaller than 0.6s. IIRC that is the treshold for MC to keep the device open.

Done. No changes, or, to be precise, louder glitch when gapless.
Switching indication on the dac seems quicker, but still exists.

I have a 2xDSD DAC myself (Teac UD-501) and it doesn't have this behavior you describe.

The change you quoted had to be disabled again in a later verison of MC19 because it caused severe audio playback problems.

Ok, I'm not so internal to speak about it, but, let me understand: if I configure 2xdsd output in DSP, and all is upsampled to this, why is necessary to close the connection during the playing of the playlist? And in such  a situation (proposed by Matt, also), why is it impossibile to actuate crossfading (different input file type)?

That's what I thought too, so I put the change in.  It caused a huge disruption, and I still don't understand why.  So the change has been reverted for now.

Addendum: I'm in contact with Domenico from Amanero (producer of the usb card of the yulong da8), he sent me a newer asio driver that does not return to default pcm mode when there is an ASIO close, and now the display of the dac doesn't change on input, but the glitches are still there...
