JRiver and Pono Player Support
« on: December 04, 2014, 01:05:16 pm »

I received notice that my Pono player has shipped and that I can now download the software to manage the music on the player.

My question is this:  Will MC recognize the Pono player so that I can simply continue using my existing copy, or do I have to install the Pono version of the program?

I believe you'll be able to add it as a handheld.  There is a Pono board here.  Someone on the Linux board reported a success this morning with the Pono Player.

The big question (for me) is..  Will we be able to the Pono music files through JRiver MC?  I have zero interest in the portable player, and my HT receiver does 24/192.

MC should be able to play any files purchased from Pono.
