Terminal Services with Windows XP
« on: May 25, 2004, 11:46:10 am »

We have an employee that works at two different desk during a given work day.  The primary work location has a windows xp machine and this machine is the "master" data machine.  When the employee is at their second location, they would like to be able to have all the capabilities at the remote location as they do at their primary location.  We have choosen to use the terminial services client capability built into Windows XP to provide this capability.  The only problem is TCP plus complains when attempting to run through the client service.  I understand you have a version that runs on a server that allows this, but in our case, there is only one user and one computer.  Is there a work around or an upgrade option for this issue?

In that situation you are by definition running a thin client which requires a thin client license.
