« on: July 19, 2004, 09:07:39 am »

With new install on PC or upgrading PC to 5.1.21 we have Screen Print problem.  Prints Multiple blank pages then splits screen print across final two pages.   Subject pages in this forum don't help.  All XP PRO machines. Anybody know the solution?

What kind of printer?
Locally connected or networked?
If directly connected, did you try the direct print trick?

SCREEN PRINT PROBLEMS IN 5.1.21

some PCs using local connect HP deskjets, others use networked printers.  I did not try the direct print suggestion, trying to avoid hard setups.  Since my original post I found that if we Rgt-Clk and select PRINT > PRINT SCREEN it works fine.  If we select FILE > PRINT it does not work properly.  I teaching users to use the Rgt-Clk method.

SCREEN PRINT PROBLEMS IN 5.1.21

I see now. The print function from the menu only prints the buffer which when you start will mostly be empty. In the change from 5.1.19 to 5.1.21 the file->print dialog was changed as a side effect of increasing stability on some versions of windows. The file->printscreen function will return in the next revision.

Using the right click function is the recommended way to work around this.
