OMD Database files

1. What is the name of the OMD database and the pathway to it or the name of the folder that contains the database?

2. Can we generate our own formatted reports from the OMD database or do we use your software for that purpose?

3. Can reports be created in Excel or dBase formats?

4. Can the OMD database be accessed through ODBC drivers?

5. Can standard reports be created without headings or page breaks?

OMD, what's that?

Doesn't appear to have anything to do with our product. Perhaps you are talking about some application you are accessing with ICE? You will need to contact the vendor of that product to get the answeres to your questions.

We (Advanced Business Systems in Tallahassee, FL) use the ICE.TCP Pro 5.1 as terminal emulation software so that we can run reports and manage our OMD (omdcorp.com) database server which is hosted on a SCO 5.0.5 box.  I was hoping that you may have some insight as to how the ICE software accesses that dbase, and what type of a dbase it is, i.e. USQL or something of the nature.  Maybe I am still barking up the wrong tree, but if you have any ideas I'm all ears.  Thanks for the quick reply earlier...lets me know your tech staff is truely top notch!

The ICE emulation is essentially a window onto your Unix server. The database application runs on the server so any interaction between the database odbc or sql queries, etc don't involve ICE. The database may or may not allow you to do these things on the Open Server machine. The only way to find out is to contact the database vendor.

We use OMD on a SCO box. ICETCP does not access the OMD database files. It is a terminal session only. To access the OMD database you need to use USQL. We use it and access the OMD database directly from an MS access database.
