"killed" icelpd file
« on: August 19, 2004, 09:25:35 am »

Per client:
I am configuring ice printing on Sco Openserver 5.0.6. I have copied the icelpd file to /usr/bin but when i run the command icelpd cto see if it is running, it just says "killed".
Whats the cause for this and how can i go round it? The rights on the file are 511.

It sounds like it wasn't copied from the CD (or floppy) properly.

On the unix machine do the following command:

file /usr/bin/icelpd

You should get back:

/usr/bin/icelpd:        iAPX 386 COFF demand-paged executable not stripped

If you get anything significantly different back you need to try installing icelpd to SCO again.
