Importing Profiles
« on: August 05, 2005, 11:35:48 am »

I'm curious if there is a way to import a profile, either via a command line switch or through the registry. Ideally I'd like to import the settings through the login script, as this would be much easier than manually importing this information for each new user. Also, any tips on where the information is stored (particularly the terminal type) would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Use regedit to export the registry entries. You can export the whole HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->J.River->ICE.TCP folder or just the profiles underneath it.

Executing the resulting export file on a different machine copies all of the necessary information into the registry there.

Note that you still have to run configwizard on each machine seperately to get a license.

Thanks Bob! For some reason the first time I tried this it wasn't working, but after trying again it works great.
