local print
« on: September 09, 2005, 04:50:42 pm »

Hi,

We downloaded the new trialware version of Plus (Version 7.10a/32) and when we print to the local printer it prints every other line to the printer and diverts the other print lines to the screen.  If we use the DejaVu TCP version 6.09 all works correctly.  It is only in the new software that we have problems printing to any local printer.

Thanks!

File->Local Print setup. Change the printing method to direct (if the printer is directly connected) or raster if not. The old program was 16 bit and the 16 bit emulation printing subsystem in windows is completely different than the native 32 bit version.

Client printer is not directly connected. It is networked.
ICE-TCP Plus still puts one line at a time on networked HP laser printers.
ICE.TCP did not. Also looks like it opens 'now spooling' window per line!
All emulations and settings are the same for old and new ICE.
Tks for your help.

Try a different method of printing (in local print setup). If you have a dot matrix or PCL compatible laser printer connected directly to your machine, try direct print. Otherwise if you have a winprinter or a network connected printer, try raster print.
