installing ICETCP onto new Citrix server
« on: January 23, 2017, 03:32:59 pm »

We currently have a Citrix version installed onto a Windows 2008 server.  We are now installing this onto a new Citrix server, Windows version 2012.  The person who did the initial install (around 5 years ago) is no longer with my company, and we don't know where to start.  I believe that we need to do the server install, but I'm not sure about that.
Any assistance is appreciated.

I don't show that you have an ICE.TCP Pro license for Citrix.  I'm a bit behind in my records, so please advise if I am wrong.

We do have a Citrix license, but I don't have access to the server where it is currently installed.  I'll get the license information and post it as soon as I can.

No need.  I have found your records.  This topic should help:

What version of Pro are you running?

Well, I thought I knew what I was doing, but now I'm not sure.  In the first post that you pointed me to, it notes "Install the admin portion".  I don't know that I have the correct install files.
The 5.1.30 Pro version that we have has a TCP5 Admin folder, but there is no setup.exe there.  There is a setup.exe in the TCP5_User folder, but I don't think that's what I need to install.
Is there a different Citrix/admin install that I should be using?

Can someone answer my question about what I need to install?

Sorry, I thought I answered via regular email.  The setup file in the TCP5_User folder is the user setup, not the license server setup.  You need the CD or original download for the license server setup.

I don't have the original CD.  Do I need to download the trial version, or is there another version that I need?

Trialware will not convert.  I am sending a reply via regular email shortly.
