I am installing Ice- Off- Site for the first time and to do so,I need to set-up Autodialer.I get an error  #2 -opening serial port com2 - port already open  non exsitent or bad.What to do?

It must be the wrong port.

Run setice. Under "serial parameters" put a check in the "send string on popup" box. This will disable the autodialer.

Next try different serial ports (com1,com2,com3,com4) until you find one that doesn't give you that message.

Then go back to trying the autodialer.
