Error when runing config wizard
« on: January 05, 2006, 12:40:55 pm »

I am working with a customer of our who has purchased ICE.TCP they are adding 2 computers with the floppy disk install.  We got the first one hooked up following the instructions in the book and it works fine.  The second one everytime we try to get the sequence number it tells us "There is no license information for your company in that directory."

It is pointing to the A:\Licenses folder, the disk is good we can browse to it (we also tried a new disk as well).  We tried deleteing and recreateing the user copy the files to the disk again and run it again, still no good.  We have verified the Computer name is correct case and spaceing.  I am totally stumped...... HELP!

That message generally means you are out of licenses or can't write to the disc.

Try the following method instead:
In licenseadmin on the "server" remove the reservation for the non-working machine.
Copy the licenses folder from the licenseadmin machine onto a clean floppy.
Put configwizard.exe (from the correct folder for your version, TCP5_User/TCP-Pro/configwizard.exe or TCP5_User/TCP4-32/configwizard44.exe) onto the root of the same floppy. Take the floppy to the new machine and browse to the floppy and run configwizard (be sure to fill out BOTH the user name AND comment fields). That should work. Then copy the license folder from the floppy back to the licenseadmin machine so it's up to date.
