can anyone tell me, I am try to set up a home printer from my home pc,
my home pc connects to my main office server through our internet ip address, I setup the config wizard the way I was supposed to but it keeps telling me I have the wrong socket number, where can I get the correct socket number, all of my office printers use #2346?

I assume you are uing icelp at the office on port 2346 and it works. If your connection from home works for telnet sessions and not icelp then it is most likely that you are being blocked on port 2346. It's probably either your office firewall or VPN setup. Ask your office network admin to open port 2346 to your Unix machine from the firewall/VPN.
