Replacing lost license server

We are a current user of ICE TCP.  The machine we use as the 'server' has died and I need to reinstall the Server software on a new machine.  If I do this will I need to reinstall the user program on each client, re-run config wizard (pointing at the new 'server') or neither (or both?!!)

Since the server is "static" you don't NEED to replace it unless you need to add a new client PC or replace an existing client PC.

If you need to replace the server, you should check a client to see what version of PRO you are running (Help->Version Information). If it's 5.0.81 or newer you can simply update to the current version, install the server portion on your new "server" machine, install the licenses, share the TCP5_USER folder across the network for full control (allow other users to modify files) for all. Then from each client PC, browse to the new shared TCP5_USER\TCP-Pro directory and run configwizard.exe and do ONLY get sequence number (uncheck get config profile).

If your client version is <5.0.81 you will have to update the server AND the clients by running a server install as above, then browsing as above to the TCP5_USER\TCP-Pro directory and running setup.exe instead of configwizard. When the install gets to configwizard, again unselect "get configuration profile" to prevent your settings from being overwritten.
