Hello, I am trying to setup ICE Off.Site version 6.091 ON Windows Xp SP2.

I keep having port problems "Open port failure"

I am trying to connect via a PCI modem which is apparently on COM3 (as shown in Device Manager).

Would anyone be able to shed any light on why I cannot connect?

You have an old unsupported 16 bit version. The 16 bit support in XP is not as good as it was in older versions of windows. You should upgrade to a current version (which are 32 bit).

My only other suggestion is that you try to see if fax service is enabled on XP, that would prevent any other application from opening the port.
