ICE.TCP Pro Licensing and DHCP
« on: October 28, 2004, 04:10:06 pm »

I currently have a pretty standard setup.  I'm having a problem with running out of IP addresses.  We are getting ready to install a new network and I want to add a wireless access point for our salesman when they are in the office.  My question is, If I setup a Gateway that serves IP addresses, how will that effect my ICE.TCP Pro Licensing?

You shouldn't have any trouble with that. Each client machine gains a sequence number by running configwizard. Unless they were to run configwizard again (which would be kind of pointless), nothing would change if the ip address was different.

If for some reason the client machine needed to run configwizard again, you might have to go into the licenseadmin program on the licenseadmin server to remove the old entry but even that's unlikely because the entries are sorted first by machine name.
