License - Edit Users
« on: April 29, 2005, 01:37:19 pm »

I need to edit the users in my license file in order to replace some workstations.  When I remove a user the LicenseAdmin will not let me add a new user.  It says "Not licensed, or number of authorized users exceeded".  Any idea why it's not removing the users.

Thank you.

Just remove the user in licenseadmin, exit out, and do a network install from the "new" machine (make sure the TCP5_USER share on the licenseadmin server is writable for everyone). Configwizard will run at the end of the install and that will take care of updating your license server (don't forget to put something in BOTH the user name and comment field in configwizard). Be sure that the version you are installing from your server is newer than 5.0.80 if you are going to run on 2k or xp.
