Can I play a DVD with jriver?

If so, can anyone tell me how to accomplish this complex task? The help file is useless.

I'm pretty sure there's no DVD support in MC for Mac.  On the Windows side, it relies upon some  Microsoft weirdness to make DVDs play.

If you want to play an actual physical DVD on your Mac, there are several choices including the built in "DVD Player" app.  I prefer VLC personally, as it's easier to use.

But what I really like doing is ripping DVDs into video files.  Then any video player can play them, including MC for Mac.  I use Hand Brake for DVD ripping and it works really well.  I've now got a portion of my DVD collection ripped and imported into MC.  It's pretty awesome.

The video support in MC21 is vastly improved and VERY good actually!  Here's something I posted about it very recently:

Good luck.

Although it's focused on Windows, I wouldn't regard this advice as useless:

I do the same as blgentry and routinely rip DVDs for library archiving. My weapon of choice is MakeMKV. They've got a Mac version. Can't speak for it but the Windows and Linux versions work well for me.

I'm just going to use the built-in app. Seems to work ok. I thought maybe I'd get better sound using something else though, but it sounds ok. I'm playing it through a USB DAC, like with downloads.

Playing a music DVD with a 2.0 dts soundtrack (Roxette Greatest Hits).
