Using mouse wheel for list scrolling
« on: September 13, 2015, 04:42:04 am »

If I'm in a details view and edit the field genre MC presents me a loooong list of different genres. I can easily use the mouse wheel to scroll through the list. But for my user created "list" type fields I'm unable to use my mouse wheel. Using it their immediately closes the drop down list and scrolls the main file list. Would be much easier to be able to use the mouse wheel for all fields.

Another bump.
Am I the only one with this one?

My custom fields that are list types are editable in pop ups from either the Tagging Window, or from the file list directly.  Long lists scroll with the mouse wheel.  Do you have your edit type set to List?

I'm using MC21.0.19 on a Mac.

Brian.

Hm, a bit late for answering here, but yes, it is set to List. I attached a screenshot of my field setup. Perhaps that helps...

I can reproduce that.  I'll investigate Monday when I'm in the office.

Next build:
Fixed: Mouse wheeling a list edit field would instead mouse wheel the list behind and stop the editing.

While on the subject of mouse wheel...is there a way to disable the mouse wheel from skipping back/forward when watching a video? It's very annoying when using a trackpad and accidentally hitting the scroll area on the side when just trying to move the mouse pointer and the video skips all over the place.

If this isn't currently possible, I request it be added as an option :-)
