Using one JRiver as DLNA server and the other as renderer
« on: September 14, 2015, 06:46:48 am »

Hello there,

while trying to investigate another issue and to narrow the possible points of failure, I tried to use one instance of JRiver as DLNA controller and the other (running on another computer) as DLNA renderer.

Both instances have DLNA network activated, and AFAIK, the right options (about DLNA roles)  set.

My issue is that the controller does not see the renderer, while another renderer (my Naim Uniti) appears well.

Is that a known behaviour?

Thanks in advance

Have read again (I actually already had).

To the best of my knowledge, I have all necessary settings, including starting both instances in the proper order.

But I still do not see the remote controller.

To be sure, and to eliminate the possibility of a name collision (local "Player" vs. remote "Player"), I configured one instance in French and left the other in English, so that both have different names: nothing changed.

Any other thoughts ?
