How do I use MC 9 to play music through my home steroeo system?
I haveabout 100 GB of music on the computer and somehow want to have my playlists/smartlists or albums played by the stereo. There's a cable modem/router/network in the house, so I guess I need to somehow hook up the receiver to the network and push the songs to it.
Anybody know how to hook that up?
Will MC 9 "play" the songs to the stereo if I have such a hook-up?

If your computer is near your stero, just run a cable from your sound card's line out (preferable) or headphone out (less preferable, but it'll work) jack to your stereo's line in jack. Select the appropriate input on your stereo and voila!

If your computer is far from your stereo, you will need a way to send the sound to your stereo. There are wireless devices that can do this (like the Terk Leapfrog) as well as dedicated "media receivers" that can stream music/video over the network and play it into the stereo. I personally don't like the "media receivers" because they can only play certain types of media (e.g. mp3 but not wma or something like that).

Or you can get a Tivo with the Home Media Option, which is supported by J River Media Server with real-time conversion of most formats.  That gives you remote playback of your music library, as well as viewing of your image library.
