4. Fixed: Leaving fullscreen mode (ie when playing video fullscreen) returns MC to the state is was in before entering fullscreen mode.

This is an improvement for me across the board, but I found one oddity. Fullscreen works much better (launches on the correct screen, only fills one screen).  Additionally leaving fullscreen remembers whether MC was maximized or not, and if MC wasn't maximized it remembers (correctly) where MC was. However, if MC is maximized on the non-primary monitor, leaving fullscreen puts MC maximized onto the opposite monitor.  If MC is maximized on the primary monitor, it leaves fullscreen correctly and returns there.  Still, a big step forward.

The top OSD menu in fullscreen is still not usable with two monitors (flashes in and out), but that probably wasn't intended to be addressed by these changes.

I think we are seeing some desktop manager / video driver combination oddities here.
The desktop is determining what to do with fullscreen and maximimize / unmaximize. Part of the change was to let the desktop decide the placement in this circumstance. It's possible that the restore misses this though. We'll check.

On my XFCE wheezy machine I get the flashing in and out effect on the OSD menu but in gnome jessie I don't.
It may have something to do with the bottom dock in my xfce setup.

I see it on Gnome 3.16 on arch, so it's definitely not just an xfce issue.

Looks like it's actually because of the second monitor enabled. If you run mirrored instead it's fine here.
This is probably because the multiple monitors aren't completely supported yet since we aren't using the xrandr extensions.

I've been seeing that one for a bit, also the library loading confirmation spawns behind the "loading library" dialog which makes it look like it never finishes.

A couple of annoying artifacts because of the way those status windows are displayed.
