MC21 responding to slowly

Since I upgraded to MC21 it is responding slowly, If I want to edit a tag, it takes like 3 to 5 seconds to open the tag field, In the album view for example if I scroll down it takes like 2 seconds to repond. Why is this?

intel i7 processor with 12gb in Memory, Windows 7 64bit.

Is it possibly an anti-virus program issue? They have been responsible for slow tagging in the past, and upgrading to a new version of MC might require re-taming an anti-virus program. See if this thread helps.
