whenever i try to play a low quality file, say this one: http://webtrick.com/gw/users/0/0/8/5/3/panterrorized.mp3 it makes MC crash.

Anyone have any idea why this occurs?

The output is crashing when trying to play a low sample rate.  Switch the output mode in MC. (WaveOut, DirectSound, etc.)  Update your soundcard driver if that doesn't help.

No more crashes here! Thanks!

2. Changed: Maximum length of tooltip text for Tag Info items is now limited to 128 characters.
Quite wise ;)

3. Changed: Tab and Shift+Tab circle entire program in main interface.
That's welcome :D

Quote
6. NEW: Added support for VolumeSliderFront skin item.
Made a quick test - Works fine :)

Quote
10. NEW: 3D visualizations included with MC.
Ah, "Picture Terrain" now's moving 8)

12. Fixed: List icon alpha didn't work on non XP machines.
Nice, now seeing the shadows ;)

In all: Great fixes! The bride made a big step to the altar ;D

I've only these two "open":

Drawing bug
When switching between view schemes, panes with short lists don't show a scrollbar. Resizing MC a little bit brings back the scrollbar. After switching to another view scheme and then back to the one with the short list, the scrollbar is missing again...

Don't know if this has worked before:
When listening to web radio, Playing Now's Track Info does not refresh when a new song starts. It's sticked to the page that is loaded when you start listening to the station.
So in Hairstyle / Windowed / Full Screen mode, it's quite hard to get the right info...

Bug:
File associations in Options are missing checkboxes, with the exception of the first item.

Don't know if this is a bug or not, but both 2D and 3D visualizations pause every 3 seconds for about 1 second, making for very choppy viewing.  Visualizations in WinAmp are very smooth.

Bug:
1. Is wacked with AW window minimized...still tabs into those Tag data fields (hidden) and requires multiple Tab presses to get the cursor back (as it tabs through the hidden Tag fields).

About the 3d.

If you go to select 3d Vis

The Text For The One That First Shows up Is "Picture Terrain" once the controls for selecting goes away and you move the mouse back up then the currect text for the current vis is displayed.

I reported this several builds ago, but haven't noticed anyone else confirming this bug until your report.

Now Playing -> Remove Duplicates

Does not remove all duplicates.

To reproduce, add the same title 3 or more times.
Remove duplicates by right clicking the Playing Now entry in the tree.

Here, I always have at least one dupe left.

Shelly reported this on file associations, seems to be global--checkboxes are missing from Smartlists as well when using the rules wizard.

Confirmed.  It seems that the currently selected track (playing or not) is not included in the algorithm's search space.

I don't know where to report this, so since it's an "official" skin and not a 3rd party one, I'll just report it here.

For the new BZero skin, the main window's diagonal grip area (to resize the window) is very, very narrow and therefore hard to select.  This is only for the lower right-hand corner.  The upper right-hand corner is fine.

The PixOS skin is fine, so this must be skin specifc.

The are no checkboxes in Options->Playback-DSP Studio

I see the subsections but there is no way to enable/disable them.
In fact, there seems to be no way to change any of the settings like output format, etc. ASIO no longer works for me because the Audigy 2 wants 48K samples and everything is at default.

The checkboxes aren't being drawn, true (and BUG!), but they are still functional.

This and the previous build are unstable -- lots of unexplained crashes. I've gone back to the "last known stable version" (9.1.243), which does not seem to have those problems.

Justed wanted to report that DVD data burns now work for me.  I was never able to get this to work in past builds as it always errored out before it would start. :D

Check boxes to select file types in Option>File Association do not load or it takes a long time. If you scroll down some boxes are visible but far from all.

Don't know if this is a problem to build .248?

I have tested most skins with the same result.

Here's something odd.....

I reported a few builds (240) ago that the visualizations are jerky. I just discovered this evening that they're only jerky when playing MP3s. When listening to a stream, they display fine. I'll check with a CD and other file types to see if it does it with them, too.

She's looking great! It's come a long way in a short time. Do the code jockeys have any hair left? ;)

Have not tried this yet but what I'd really like to see is the option to remove all but one duplicates of each track.  When I remove duplicates from PN it's because I don't want to listen to the same track twice, not because I don't want to listen to it at all.

If you leave one dupilcate, then you'd have two entries of the same title.

So you want to remove all duplicates. You want to leave only unique entries.

BUG: DSP Studio Dialog
« Reply #21 on: September 09, 2003, 10:41:10 pm »

In the DSP Studio dialog, the check boxes no longer appear for the MC dsp plugins Eq, Efx, Repl Gain and Out Fmt.  You therefore can't change their enabled / disabled state.  The DX Host plugin shows check box, but you cannot change it.

Cheers,

Stu

3d visualistaions - unlike others this is the first build in a while where I haven't had the "works for 3 secs then pauses for a half second" problem.

When I did get this I used to get the pause while scrolling down the Media Library as well. Anybody else get this?

Yeah, I've got it, and it's getting really weird. It only seems to do it when I play an MP3. If I play a stream or CD, it doesn't do it. If I play an MP3 after playing a CD or stream, then it doesn't do it.  Sometimes it will do it will pause a couple of times, and then it displays smoothly. But this is by far the best the visualizations have worked for me since 9.0.180. Everything after that had the pausing/jerking thing going on.
