After spending an hour trying to Download MC 9 trial version can anyone tell me what is happening?  Simple download?  Goes to the "Download Center", takes 5 minutes for the progress bar to almost reach the end, then NOTHING, or a "Page Cannot Be Found" screen.

It works for me, from the downloads section of the website.  Did you try the stable beta release http://www.musicex.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=MediaCenter;action=display;num=1063144537 here?  Its the first link in the topic and it is MC 9.1.

Disable any download manager you have installed.  Use IE as your browser.

Please provide more details about exactly what you're doing.

As far as what I'm doing?  I'm simply clicking on the icon that says DOWNLOAD.  Download manager?  As per se, none, unless you mean a firewall.  I run Zone Alarm Pro and have authorized the transfer through Zone Alarm.  I run AVG virus software.  These two have never prevented a download before.

Will try from IE.

What page are you on when you click "download".

Zonealarm has created ugly problems in the past.  Try a search here to read about it.  Uninstalling, not just disabling, has worked for some.  Others have no problems.

Deactivated ZoneAlarm - and it worked - but seemed slow.  Installed OK.  Thanks to all.

Anything I have to do (plug-ins, etc) to get the beatie to manage the IPOD?

Bad zonealarm.  Bad boy.

iPod support is part of MC 9.1 .  The beta builds are the best bet, but read the iPod thread here before going on.  It will tell you what works or doesn't in the beta.

Don't know what happened, but today the speed to US sites is very, very slow for me sitting here in Europe. Have different providers, so they are not the bad guys.  Maybe a reason?
