Add Radio Stations by ZIP Code or City / State Location
« on: September 28, 2015, 09:48:40 pm »

Is there an easy way to add all the radio stations in a city like Houston, TX to MC without having to add each URL one at a time?

AFAIK, the only service that does local radio stations by location is TuneIn Radio (but I could be wrong).

Yes, I have TuneIn Radio on both my Smart phone & Windows; it is a wonderful add-in. There are a few other similar add-ins like TuneIn Radio out there but TuneIn is the best.

I wish MC could use Android Add-ins so I could have ALL my audio/video stuff handled by MC :'(.

Does anyone know if MC has any way to control the FM tuners that are on some TV tuner cards?

I have had a LOT of FM tuners over the last 30 years or so (some stand-a-lone, some incorporated into TV tuners). Most of them could be controlled either by the included software or by third-party software, some of which was pretty amazing. I still recall a young guy in Italy working by himself (as a hobby) that had developed some amazing FM tuner software. However Marriage & a new house killed his spare time so he had to drop all new development of the software :'(.

As the guy in Italy did it in his spare time by himself, creating FM tuner software does not seem to be that hard a thing to accomplish.
