Chapter Selection
« on: September 30, 2015, 10:58:19 pm »

I have been wondering if there could be a way to implement having a chapter selection when it comes to movies. Say if I want to start a movie from a specific chapter; i.e. like instead of watching a movie from the beginning, to simply pick out a chapter in the middle of a movie. This would be alot easier than having to skip chapters to get to the one I want to see. Another program has it where you could do that. It would be great if that could be implemented here. :)

Currently we have a couple of options:

If there are chapter marks in the Video, you can
- in Std View just "Right Click --> Jump" SubMenu to select the chapter you want
- in TheaterView you can "up arrow" till you get to Chapter then "Left / Right arrow" to skip though

MC will also bookmark so you start playback where you left off.

On stuff like BD you also don't get Chapter "names" just Chapter 1, 2 etc

If you don't have chapter marks in the Video then you are currently out of luck.

Thanks for the info. :) I do know that I can do those options that you mentioned, using the keys to select the chapters, and while the movie is playing. What I was referring to was having a chapter selection screen in Theater View when you select the movie you want to play, then have a 'Chapter' option where a new screen comes up with thumbnails of the chapters.

Most of my BD's do have chapter points in them.
