Cd Burner lost quality but only using MJ
« on: February 09, 2003, 05:46:02 am »

I have been using MJ for months, importing downloaded music, burning cds, with no problem...  Now all of a sudden when I burn cds from MJ, toward the end of those CDs (songs 5-6-7...) they turn out "un-listenable"  nasty; the first few songs are good.  When I burn the same line-up using Nero the CD quality is good, no problem.  Any Ideas?  What is Normalize before encoding do?
I really wish MJ had tech support.

Welcome to Tech Support. For phone support call 867-5309 (ask for Jenny)

Did you install some software around then? Do you have latest Nero?

Normalizing raises the volume level on a song to some user selectable percentage of maximum (before clipping starts), then burns the temp wav file created onto the disk. The original file should not be affected (normalized).

Thank you for visiting!

You didn't tell us you have a three-year old.  Or is it a mule?

Sorry, mleblanc, I'm just having fun with Xen.  He's one of our best and brightest.  You're getting good advice.
