So I downloaded and decided to test BlueStacks, an Android app emulator with a fullscreen mode. I made a category in MC's theatre view to launch it and checked the box to get MC to hide itself while BlueStacks runs. However, once I actually run BlueStacks from theatre view, MC does disappear for a second, but then reappears again on the same monitor, while producing a white screen on my other monitor. Is this a bug?

This does not happen with Steam's Big Picture mode because Steam changes the default monitor on-the-fly. Obviously, not every program has this feature.

Can't help with the bug issue, but I'm wondering; Does BlueStacks work these days?

I tested it some time back, and it was useless. Crippled. Lacking basic features. Hard to get it to download, install, and update Apps.

It would be good if it actually worked. However, wasn't Microsoft talking about adding an Android emulator to Windows, to jump onto the coat tails of Android App development?

BlueStacks definitely works, but it lacks UI options for some features. For example, in order to set it up for a 1920 x 1080 display, I had to go in to the registry and edit some keys.
Otherwise, apart from a learning curve, it works fine. I uninstalled it just now though, because it didn't quite perform well enough for what I wanted it for: running Crunchyroll and, possibly, Hulu. Crunchyroll works, but for whatever reason, video playback was a bit choppy when forced at high quality, which is not an issue when playing video from the website with the same machine on the same connection. The PS3, Wii U, and Xbox One apps also perform pretty much perfectly.

My question still stands, since the same thing happens when I use theatre view to run, say, Internet Explorer and I have the "Hide MC..." option checked.
