  • I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure..

Since upgrading to OS X El Capitan I can no longer rip CDs with PMW. The drive is recognized, but the CD is not. I can rip with iTunes.

I have a similar issue. It's not that I can't rip with El Capitan; it's that it has become annoyingly difficult. The only way I can get PMW to rip disks under El Capitan is by setting CDs to open PMW upon insertion, in system preferences, then inserting the disks several times (closing PMW each time)! Usually by the 2nd or 3rd iteration, the disk is recognized and it will rip successfully. This is obviously an incompatibility between El Capitan and JRiver's Pono software as ripping is a breeze on my other mac which is still running Yosemite. I sure hope a fix is 'in the works'!
