Hi everybody!

This morning I opened my library and discovered that all the track names were gone!
The Name tag in every audio file is still there but in the MC library all the names are blanked…
This is the second time it happens.
Luckily I took the habit to backup my library every now and then (with the Backup&Restore function) and at least once at the end of every day session just a second after quitting MC. I do this last saving not by using Backup&Restore but by copying manually the library folder that I made MC save on the external disk where all my audio files reside.
Well, restoring this last "manual" backup simply by substituting the corrupt library folder fixed the problem.
So I guess that something happens to the library when closing or opening MC.

Did anybody notice something like this or is this a unique problem of mine?

Something isn't writing a file completely.  Antivirus?

Hi Jim,
sorry but I had to edit my message to be more precise: in fact I usually does the manual backup soon after quitting MC.
So the library folder I had to substitute was in fact the last version MC saved when quitting.
So I don't think that something isn't writing a file completely 'cause the copy I used to fix the problem was the last MC saved.
There must be something during the opening of MC that causes the problem…
Anyway, I only use Windows Defender: could that be the culprit?
