Purchasing a Master License

I have MC 20 installed on a Windows computer (purchased license)  and have been trialing MC 20 on a mac.

I want to upgrade to a master license and still retain MC 20 on both Windows and Mac.

How do I do this without having to go to MC21?

You can't purchase an MC20 license, but the last build of MC20 will work with an MC21 license.

You can purchase an upgrade Master License for $29.98.  You can do it from the Help menu of your currently licensed copy.

Thanks Jim. the build I have is 20.0.41 on the Windows machine.
Will the master license purchased from this work?
If not, how do I update to the latest MC20 build?

If none of this is possible do I first have to pay to upgrade to MC 21 and then pay again to purchase a master license?

You can find MC20 on the wiki under "Old Versions".  MC20.0.41 won't work.  You will need to download and install.

Better would be to switch to MC21 everywhere.  It's pretty simple.  Just download and install it.

Sorry to be a bit thick. If I update to MC 21 everywhere do I have to pay an upgrade fee and then another fee to purchase the master license? Thanks..

You can buy a MC21 Master License right away from a MC20 license as an upgrade, you don't need to pay twice.

Go here and enter your MC20 Windows registration code:

But as Jim mentioned before, this license will not work with your current version of MC20, you'll either need to update to the latest version of MC20, or even better, upgrade to MC21 - your license then allows it! :)

Thanks for the link, Hendrik. I think I'll go the MC 21 route.

What's the best way to install MC 21? Is it best to uninstall MC 20 first?

Install MC21.  Uninstall MC20 sometime later, when you're happy with MC21.
