You are going to the right place to create the Views .. so far so good.

Your ipad is probably not re-synching with the new views.

First check that you are making/modifing the views on the machine running media server. For example, if you have a client and a server PC, you should be doing this only on the server PC.

Then I would remove JRemote from the ipad memory (you know double click the main button on the ipad and slide the app up to clear it from the RAM in the device). You will essentially be forcing the ipad to reconnect to the server. This is often an issue that people don't think about as views are not automatically synced, they have to be loaded -- restarting the ipad is not enough sometimes. So when you modify a view it will not immediately show the changes.

You could also do this through the options in JRemote by forcing a reconnection. (quitting the server and then re logging on to it). You don't have to reset any views on the server PC.

Hi, Thank you for the replu but, this is not working.
Whatever I do on the server side, the app on my IPad shows  view, album
I am trying for example to get Genre, artist, album ,  but nothing I do does it ( including clearing IPad memmory or forcing reconnect )

Any other clues ?

Regards,
Claude

hmm sorry to hear that .. usually that's what hangs for me . And your view is a pretty normal one to have -- I have one just like that

I guess you could try to create the view in Standard Mode and then import it .. however I'm guessing its on the ipad side rather than the JRiver server side, and can't see why this would matter. Some people forget and do this from a client, but you seem to be doing it right

Are you on IOS9 by chance? Maybe there are still bugs on this (I'm sticking to 8 for a bit longer) ?

Anyone else have any ideas for Claude?

After setting up a view for JRemote in Media Network > Advanced > Customize View for JRemote, have you restarted MC itself?  Not the ipad.  But the MC program on your PC?  I find this is usually necessary in my limited experience.

Thanks people, tried all those solutions without any results.
Next I will attempt removing the app from my pad and re-install,
We'll see the.
