Dither on DLNA?
« on: November 05, 2015, 08:16:25 am »

Is dither applied to a DLNA stream? Does it follow the dither setting under Audio->Advanced?

Everywhere in MC when audio is being converted to a lower bitdepth, the same dithering is applied, using the same global setting.

Thanks
I use DLNA with DSP; PEQ and convolution. Files are stored ondisk as FLAC, but sent as 24bit PCM  to the renderer. As the DSP is 'working' on the file and it is beeing sent as PCM (wav), some also padded from 16 to 24bit, is dither applied?
