Cannot see Ceton InfiniTV cable card
« on: November 22, 2015, 11:39:50 pm »

I WAS running Win8 and MSMC, getting my TV through Ceton InfiniTV cable card. Today I upgraded to Win10 and loaded MC 21. During Television setup, using the "CableCARD" button, nothing shows in the devices window. I made the setting change to "enable DLNA is turned on". Still nothing. I removed, then reinstalled the Ceton driver. Still nothing. Does anyone know what I'm missing?

Thanks in advance,
Rob

Did you check with Ceton to see if they know anything or have a new driver?

I did not approach Ceton directly. I did check their site for a new driver. I had the most current version.

Is this the PCIe or Networked based version?  If it is Networked, have you tried disabling the Windows firewall?

The Ceton infiniTV cable card is PCIe. I'm running eset Nod32 and I "allowed" the Ceton card through the firewall. I don't know if there are any other settings that need to be tweaked.

Are you seeing the card in Windows Device manager?

Have you also allowed MC through the firewall?

Thanks for throwing out ideas. I appreciate your insight.

A couple answers:
Yes, I can see the InfiniTV cable card in Device Manager.

Yaobing, about the Firewall: I misspoke. It was MC 21 that I allowed through the firewall. Not the Ceton cable card.

In Tools > Options... > Media Network, where you enabled "Use Media Network to share this library...", expand "Advanced" and make sure "DLNA Controller (control other DLNA devices)" checkbox is checked.
