Image tags issue . . .
« on: September 03, 2003, 05:35:16 pm »

Hey,

I just started using MC as the library tool for my picts and I gotta pretty straightforward question.

I initially started tagging the Genre and Album fields.  I realized that, for my purposes, I don't need to designate the Album field and I deleted it (left the Genre field).

Now I have a bunch of unassigned albums that I'd like to get rid of.  How can I get rid of the albums and keep the Genres?  I tried updating library from tags etc . . .

Thx

I'm not sure what you mean.  But try exploring the options for adding, deleting, and editing the "view schemes".

Right click on Images in the tree to start.

If you use a View Scheme that contains the album component, then any file that doesn't have the album tag field will show up as unassigned. Just edit the View Scheme so that it doesn't use the album component.
