Hi there
I am using the 30 days time bombed version on my laptop office PC for evaluation. The plan is to buy a fuill license and transfer (keeping the settings and media artwork etc.) it to a miniPC which I want to use a a network player and I am asking how does this work: installa  fresh JRiver and enter the activation key? .
Is the license for a single user / single machine (is it tied to the MAC address for example?)

No. You may use a single license on the computers you personally own (within reason). One thing worth noting is that the Mac, Linux, and Windows versions of MC are licensed separately, however. So if you need to use more than one platform, then you'll need a Master License.

In any case, to license MC on multiple computers, you can use the MJR file you get when you first activate the license to apply it to other PCs. Or, if you waited too long (the MJR files expire after 14 days) you can restore the license to get a new MJR file to use on those other machines.
