Isn't it possible to use the WDM driver for linked zones?

I was experimenting with the WDM driver and linked zones, and I am unable to get anywhere. It breaks up like crazy, sounding like a digital radio in the main zone, and I get nothing in the linked zones. Is it not possible to combine these two features?
