Patatorz, from what I can make out from bob's advice is that reinstalling build 28 won't fix the issue if you reboot your QNAP. I think that we'll have to wait until bob & QNAP nut out a solution and issue a new build.

JRiver 21.0.28 was not booting anymore after an update of the QNAP (system). Re-installing JRiver 21.0.28 helped me to recover JRiver

Just so I know going forward, in the event I do have to re-install MC because the NAS was shutdown, is there a way to preserve all the MC settings on the new install? QNAP only seems to offer the option to remove or disable meaning you have to completely remove and then reinstall.
