Error Message Starting MC9.1.241
« on: August 28, 2003, 04:49:03 pm »

Hi--

I upgraded from MJ8 to MC9.1.239 ten days ago and now just installed 9.1.241.

Everything's great except I get a an error message every time MC9 starts.

"File'C:\Program Files\JRiver\MediaJukebox\ MediaScheduler.exe' is not found."

This has happened with both versions of MC9.1. I think I had Media Scheduler installed on MJ8 but I never used it. How do I get rid of this message when MC9 starts?

Thanks.

As Users Have Stated Before Upgrading from MJ8 To MC9 without doing a new install of MC9 sometimes does not work.

When i was doing this with MJ8 i always had to remove the MediaJukebox folder and install MC9 and do a import of your files.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure I understand your suggestion. Do you recommend that I uninstall MC9 and reinstall it?

If so should I first back up the MC9 library which seems to be okay? I did import the files when I first installed MC 9. As I recall the install wizard prompted me to do a removal of MJ8, which I did. I think?

The only glitch here seems to be Media Scheduler message.

BTW I just checked the MC program folder and Media Scheduler.exe is there. If I click on it it launches into the notification area. Yet when I close and then open MC I still get the message  "...is not found."
