'false' Duplicate library entries
« on: August 28, 2003, 07:23:40 pm »

I have a number of files which MC shows duplicated or triplicated . . .  ALL tag info AND filename/drive/folder are identical,
Yet Windows shows only one copy of these files.
These files are all on the same non-removable hard drive.
In the past when I tried to delete 'one' of these erroneous duplicates I was left with NO copy left on my drive.

Anyone else seeing this?

yes, may be simular.  seems as if there is a bug when you move files.  if there is an error both entries stay in the catalog.  i search for duplicates using "filename", then delete them all from the library and rescan.  hope this helps. and hope it gets fixed.  I think king has said this or something simular has been around a long time.

not quite the same thing i said, and has nothing to do with this maybe bug.

I would dump the current library, and re-import
