Format Conversion
« on: January 04, 2016, 09:32:12 pm »

After learning that multichannel DSD files are difficult for the iD to uncompress and convert on the fly, I thought I would try using the iD to do a format conversion to FLAC.

Upon trying this, it fails the conversion immediately on attempt.  Am I missing something?

Thanks Bob.  I will run through the directions in the wiki again.

Could it have anything to do with the file being on a NAS (setup for r/w)?  It fails in a split second.

Did you put exclusions for JRiver with your anti-virus?
I had a similar issue and this was the cause.

Perhaps it is NAS related, I'll try it with a share here.

Thanks Bob.

I had a busy weekend, and didn't get to give it a try.  I will try again this afternoon.

I'll also try to setup a USB drive to give it a try.
