Is there a way to do this?  I know about the "recently ripped" view, but this gives you a flat list of all songs.  I'd like to be able to access individual cd's that were recently ripped.

You can make a new view scheme like Volume Name / Date Imported (or whatever).

Sort (and save the sorting) by "Date Imported" if you like.

Should do just what you want.

Thanks, Matt, but "Date Imported" isn't available as a "Component Type" when creating a view.  That's the problem.

Am I missing something?

In version 9.1, you should be able to use "Date Imported" as a scheme item.  I'm not sure about 9.0.

Also, you should be able to sort by "Date Imported" in either version, which may be all you really need.

Ok, a little progress on this.  I've created a view scheme: By Date Created, By Album Artist, By Album.  This almost gives me what I want.  The problems are that the date isn't using a date, it's using a date/time.  I'd like to format the dates to be a whole date, so I don't have a seperate entry in the grouping for the time of each rip, I want it to show all albums together that were ripped on a particular date.  Also, is there a way to force it to sort most recent first?

You can sort for most recent first with this criteria:
[Media Type]=[Audio] ~sort=[Date Imported]-d

Huh.  This doesn't work for me.  The "tilde" (~) keeps it from working.  Is that a typo?  If I say [Media Type]=[Audio] ~sort=[Date Imported]-d, that works, but it's the same as what I had.  What's the "-d"? Is that to make the order descending?  

Also, do you know of a way to get the time component out of the dates?

Hi Dave,

Yes, the modificator -d gives you the descending order as you want. I just copied and pasted the formula...  don'tk know why the (~) appeared and what does it mean, 'cause my formula is without it.

I don't know the answer to your second question. Sorry.
