Hi

Not sure who can answer this but i'm sure there is someone who has seen this problem.

I have an oled 2160p TV and use madvr for all my TV /Movie viewing. The problem i have is if i try to play back a genuine 2160p video mad vr is trying to downscale to 1080 p even though the resolution set is indeed 2160p

I have set all the usual display setting etc 2160p23 etc but the stats in madvr seem to indicate it is trying to downscale to 1080p for some reason it believes my screen is not 2160.

Check that you only have 2160p24 and 2160p60 in your resolutions list.

If your desktop resolution is set to 2160p, then try the following settings.

JRiver:  Tools > Options > Video > Display Settings, set Automatic Display Mode to off

madVR:  Settings > Devices > Display > Display modes, uncheck Switch to Matching Display Mode

Just so i fully understand

What i think should be happening as an example

If i set my desktop to 2160p 60 hz for example and in MadVR display settings only allow 2160p23,2160p24,2160p50 etc it should always be MadVr upscaling 1080p to 2160p  ---- Is this correct?

If i set my desktop to 1080p 60 hz for example and in MadVR display settings only allow 1080p23,1080p24,1080p50 etc it should always be the TV's scaler that scales 1080p to 2160p  ---- Is this correct?

In my case i dont think this happens i think madvr is trying to scale all the time so in effect i am scaling twice.
