I click on Audio then type a Search (eg Nah Youn Sun).
It does find albums from different genres (eg 24 bits and Jazz).
But it doesn't display them and I don't see how to.
If I just chose Play, it doesn't play them in a systematic order.

I think a little more detail is needed.

When you say click on Audio, for example, I read that as the Audio "root" in the tree. If so, sure that's not going to work. Assuming you are talking about Standard Mode and not theater or a remote modes. You have to choose a view first. The search from the box will give results based on which "View" you choose before searching and how the view is set-up.

If this is something more specific, maybe you can describe the issue a bit more or post a screen shot? Thanks

After trial and error, the following seems to work for me.
At the root (Audio), I type a search, eg Nah Youn Sun.
Then in the All Files view, I select List Files -> Album Thumbnails.
It shows me all the albums "about" Nah Youn Sun.
That's what I wanted.

well ok but two things

1) you don't have to (go so far as to saying should NOT) click on the Audio root first - click a view first (under a root)

2) You only have a Genre View under Audio?! Did you erase the out of the box ones? ... I'd say you should reload Artist or Album and Artist View (right click on audio, add view) or make your own (better).  I'd recommend reading the wiki as understanding Views is very important to using this software. https://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Main_Page

Indeed, in Audio, I just kept the Genre view  
That's how I navigate in my music:
Audio -> Genre - > Artist -> Album

I never want to do it otherwise.

Well, except the search feature is nice, it can show me all the albums about, say, Beethoven (there are quite many of them).
That's what I was asking.

That is why you might want to add at least another view. You can always configure JR to open in your genre view as a default  if you want. You can have your cake and eat it too that way.
